Tondoba Bay, opened in 2003, is the first Egyptian pilot project for eco-tourism. The PADI 5* Gold Palm Diving Centre is under British/Egyptian management and is offering diving education from Beginner to Professional, as well as special children diving programmes. At the Tondoba house reef unlimited house reef diving is available. In addition we are offering daily two dives by motor yacht, zodiac or jeep to the untouched fringing reefs and extraordinary off shore reefs, such as Elphinestone or Samadai. Affiliated to the Diving Center is the 2006 opened Marine Biology College (MBC). Biologists and Marine Scientists are offering interesting Marine biology Seminars and fascinating Events to divers and snorkellers.

DIVE SITES:

Tondoba Bay House Reef

The untouched house reef has an extraordinary rich marine life. The highlight is a school of 900 Barracudas. Resident Whitetip Sharks and 2000-year-old roman pottery can be also found during your house reef dives.
With depths between 2 m and 12 m it is also suitable for beginner courses and children diving

Shaab Samadai (Dolphin House)

The untouched house reef has an extraordinary rich marine life. The highlight is a school of 700 Barracudas and 2000-year-old roman pottery. Shaab Samadai (Dolphin House), a natural nursery for a spinner dolphin population, is located directly in front of Tondoba Bay and can be reached in only 30 minutes by boat.

Elphinestone Reef

The famous Elphinestone Reef is well known for 9 different kinds of sharks, especially Oceanic Whitetips ad Hammerheads. The drop off is covered with beautiful soft coral formation and big gorgonians.
